    I love the new kitchen island… but also a little sad to see the other one go as I have fond memories of sitting around it and yakking away.

      Yes! The link under the picture will take you to a post about peach leather, and you'll find info about applesauce fruit leather in the comments.

      For the applesauce leather, I just dumped canned sauce onto trays and stuck it in the dehydrator. It was gone so fast that I didn't even have time to run it down to the cellar!

      (This fall, I plan to puree fresh apples and dry them — I can't wait!)
