the quotidian (7.24.17)

Quotidian: daily, usual or customary;
everyday; ordinary; commonplace

The beginning.

I had to act, and quick: more of this, plus one pan with sausage and onions, delicious.

Summer supper.

What followed.

Well, that didn't go over so well.

Revenge therapy: if no one eats your baking experiment, carve it up.

My happy place.

When babysitting, they pull out all the stops.

Lame: our toy selection.

Splint-free, cast-free, brace-free, freeeeeeeee!

Attempting to remedy a spectacularly failed inspection.

This same time, years previous: vegetarian groundnut stew, a riding lesson, rellenitos, the quotidian (7.23.12), pumpkin seed pesto, cucumber lemon water, limeade concentrate, braised cabbage.

  1. oh no, the beet ice cream is a fail? Jeni, you have let us dowwwwwwwn! (Although I recall Rebecca warning me off a chocolate cake with beets in it - maybe beets just need to keep their distance from dessert?)

  2. Lovely, calming "Skylines" photo. Thank younger son for taking it.

  3. Hey! That's our tiger!

  4. What happened to all your toys? Plus I am not sure that little hand thing even counts as a toy.

We only have cherry tomatoes so far.

  5. How is The Wonder? I loved The Lotterys Plus One, and found The Room darkly fascinating. Darrel said Frog Music was ok, but a little erotic.

    1. I actually enjoyed it! The ending was really, really good.
